In honor of Goodwill Industries® Week (May 1–7, 2011), Goodwill Industries International will be hosting a Goodwill® “Travelin’ Trunk Show” at its headquarters location to showcase racks of contemporary and vintage fashions including clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories and more. The donated clothes will be available for sale to the public and the revenues from the sale will go to support Goodwill of Greater Washington’s mission to educate, train, employ and place people with disadvantages who face challenges to finding employment throughout the greater DC area, including people with limited education and English language skills, people who lack work experience and people with disabilities, among others. Goodwill of Greater Washington is one of the 158 independent Goodwill headquarter agencies in the United States that provides workforce development services to people in need of employment.
